Corner of LOVE

Love is unpredictable yet exciting...Love is harsh at times, but it is the best thing in this world!

“sometimes you have to break up to grow up,it takes two grown ups to make a relationship works..”

I love you and I will tell you everyday,
Everyday until you forget those things that hurt.
I hate the things that make you hurt
And how I wish I could take them away.
If only it could be done, I’ll do it for sure.
“…but it cannot be done coz you won’t let me do it..” -- Tricia

Well it’s a very exciting time … but at the end of the day , though things might change, somethings remain the same diba, kaya dapat wag mo kakalimutan ang lumang ikaw

God my 2 linggo pa ako eh, 2 linggo pa! but katingkati kang palitan ako?
popoy yun ba talaga ang tingin mo? I just made a choice – Basha

and you chose to break my heart - Popoy

"Gusto mo talagang malaman problema ko? nasasaktan ako..kahet alam kong wala na kong karapatan..dahil naisip kong ako naman ang may gusto nito..pero hanggang ngayon umaasa pa rin ako.. na sana ako pa rin.. sana ako na lang.. sana ako na lang ulit….."

minsan its better for two people to break up.. so they can grow up. It takes grown up to make relationship to work –

Who is Capt. Jessup Bahinting?

Born in Siquijor and raised in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Bahinting was first exposed to aviation through his father, who worked at the Civil Aviation Administration (now the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines).

At 19, he became assistant to Antonio Sabijana, the pilot of former Rep. Herminio Teves.
Bahinting, 60, chairman and CEO of Aviatour Air, told his Nigerian pilot to fly one of the company’s Cessna planes and get the antidote. The mission eventually helped save the life of Cebu City zookeeper Ronald Aventurado, who had been bitten by a king cobra.
He is considered a hero. As a matter of fact we were planning to award him on Charter Day,” Jakosalem said in an interview aired over GMA News TV's State of the Nation news program Monday night.

Aventurado, for his part, held back tears as he recalled how the 60-year-old pilot wanted to check his condition after suffering from a snake bite.

“Pupuntahan niya sana ako para tingnan ako pero hindi niya ako nakita. Siya pa ang na-missing at ako pa ang nabuhay,” Aventurado said in a separate interview.

Bahinting and his co-pilot Kshitiz Chand remain missing after the four-seater Piper Seneca they were riding crashed in the waters off the shoreline of Masbate City at about 5 p.m. Saturday, supposedly due to engine trouble.

Early Tuesday morning, Transportation Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II announced that Robredo’s body had been recovered at a depth of 180 feet off the coast of Masbate City.

Later in the day, Roxas said that another body, which has yet to be identified, was found inside the plane’s wreckage.

‘Model husband’

Aventurado, however, was not the first person saved by Captain Bahinting. The pilot's wife, Margarita Bahinting, said her husband considered saving lives as his “life mission.”

“When there was an earthquake in Negros, nagpadala kami ng relief doon. Noong bagyong Sendong, ilang beses kami nagpadala ng tulong doon. The people of Cagayan de Oro can attest to that. Kahit noong landslide sa Guinsaugon (in southern Leyte), nandoon siya,” Mrs. Bahinting said in an interview over ANC on Tuesday morning.

She also shared that his husband was an active pastor and Visayas area superintendent of the Grace Communion International, a Christian denomination.

Mrs. Bahinting also described the pilot as a “model husband.” The couple was supposed to celebrate their 37th wedding anniversary this December.

“Mapagmahal siya… He has already done his task here on Earth. I already accept what happened, but it is really painful,” she said.

Antonio Jereidini, training director of the aircraft rental company Aviatour Air which Bahinting managed, for his part, said that the pilot never hesitated to go on medical evacuation flights if necessary.

“He has always been very actively involved in flying. Almost all of his flights were mercy flights and medical evacuation flights,” Jereidini said in another television interview.

DILG SEC JESSE ROBREDO FOUND DEAD

MANILA, Philippines (4th UPDATE) – The body of Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo was found Tuesday morning, Transport and Communications Secretary Manuel "Mar" Roxas II said.
"At 8:15 a.m. kumpirmadong ang isa sa mga katawan ay kay Sec, Robredo," Roxas said.
Reports have yet to be confirmed if the bodies of Capt. Jessup Bahinting and Nepalese Kshitiz Chand have already been retrieved.
Divers found the plane's fuselage around 7:30 a.m. Robredo's body was found inside the fuselage at 7:45 a.m. His body was brought to shore at 8:40 a.m.
Roxas said the remains of the Interior secretary was found 800 meters off Masbate at 180 feet deep.
Robredo's wife, Atty. Maria Leonor Gerona-Robredo, has been informed personally by President Aquino, according to Roxas.
"The President was very quiet, he sought absolute confirmation. Nung kumpirmadong-kumpirmado na, he wanted to make sure na may malapit kay Ma'am Leni na katabi niya. Ma'am Leni was in her house at malayo pa ang mga kilala naming malapit sa kanya, pinagpasyahan na sabihin kay Ma'am Leni na direkta," he said.
"Iyung dalawang pilot nakasubsob sa cockpit, so si Sec. Robredo ang unang nakuha at dahan-dahang inakyat," Roxas said.
Roxas said a technical diver, Matt Reed, was able to identify Robredo after being briefed of the Cabinet official's last attire.
"The diver could not come up directly, so he sent up his slate with information that the fuselage was found and 'yun ang sinabi na may indications na si [Sec. Robredo ang natagpuan]. Binigyan siya [ng information] sa bihis ni Sec. Jess, ang sunod na balita na pinaabot niya ay si Sec. Jess nga," he said.
Robredo's older brother, Butch, asked for more time before the family could release a statement.
President Aquino personally brought Robredo's remains to his family in Naga on board a C130 plane. The late secretary's remains arrived at the Naga airport a little past 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday. Robredo was given arrival honors.
Bahinting's wife Margaret, meanwhile, said: "I have just been thankful to God because this morning I was praying na ma-retrieve na ang mga katawan nila na sana hindi na matagal. Whether they are dead or alive, as long as makita ko ang katawan."
The Palace and several local government units and agencies have hoisted their flags at half mast to mourn the death of the Interior secretary.

A little information about LEUKEMIA

The word Leukemia comes from the Greek leukos which means "white" and aima which means "blood". It is cancer of the blood or bone marrow (which produces blood cells). A person who has leukemia suffers from an abnormal production of blood cells, generally leukocytes (white blood cells).
Types of Leukemia
Chronic and Acute
Experts divide leukemia into four large groups, each of which can be Acute, which is a rapidly progressing disease that results in the accumulation of immature, useless cells in the marrow and blood, or Chronic, which progresses more slowly and allows more mature, useful cells to be made. In other words, acute leukemia crowds out the good cells more quickly than chronic leukemia.

Lymphocytic and Myelogenous
Leukemia’s are also subdivided into the type of affected blood cell. If the cancerous transformation occurs in the type of marrow that makes lymphocytes, the disease is called lymphocytic leukemia. A lymphocyte is a kind of white blood cell inside your vertebrae immune system. If the cancerous change occurs in the type of marrow cells that go on to produce red blood cells, other types of white cells, and platelets, the disease is called myelogenous leukemia.

also known as Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia - This is the most common type of leukemia among young children, although adults can get it as well, especially those over the age of 65. Survival rates of at least five years range from 85% among children and 50% among adults. The following are all subtypes of this leukemia: precursor B acute lymphoblastic leukemia, precursor T acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Burkitt's leukemia, and acute biphenotypic leukemia.

Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)
This is most common among adults over 55, although younger adults can get it as well. CLL hardly ever affects children. The majority of patients with CLL are men, over 60%. 75% of treated CLL patients survive for over five years. Experts say CLL is incurable. A more aggressive form of CLL is B-cell prolymphocytic leukemia.

Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML)
AML is more common among adults than children, and affects males significantly more often than females. Patients are treated with chemotherapy. 40% of treated patients survive for over 5 years. The following are subtypes of AMS - acute promyelocytic leukemia, acute myeloblastic leukemia, and acute megakaryoblastic leukemia.

Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) –
The vast majority of patients are adults. 90% of treated patients survive for over 5 years. Gleevec (imatinib) is commonly used to treat CML, as well as some other drugs. Chronic monocytic leukemia is a subtype of CML.

Symptoms of Leukemia
  • Blood clotting is poor –
As immature white blood cells crowd out blood platelets, which are crucial for blood clotting, the patient may bruise or bleed easily and heal slowly - he may also develop petechiae (a small red to purple spot on the body, caused by a minor hemorrhage).

  • Affected immune system –
The patient's white blood cells, which are crucial for fighting off infection, may be suppressed or not working properly. The patient may experience frequent infections, or his immune system may attack other good body cells.

  • Anemia –
As the shortage of good red blood cells grows the patient may suffer from anemia - this may lead to difficult or labored respiration (dyspnea) and pallor (skin has a pale color caused by illness).

  • Other symptoms
Patients may also experience nausea, fever, chills, night sweats, flu-like symptoms, and tiredness. If the liver or spleen becomes enlarged the patient may feel full and will eat less, resulting in weight loss. Headache is more common among patients whose cancerous cells have invaded the CNS (central nervous system).

  • Precaution –
As all these symptoms could be due to other illnesses. A diagnosis of leukemia can only be confirmed after medical tests are carried out.
What causes leukemia?
The causes of leukemia, lymphoma, melanoma and related blood
disorders are not definitely known. However, a few factors do appear to
affect its development Experts say that different leukemia’s have different causes. The following are either known causes, or strongly suspected causes:
 GeneticFactors
Down’s syndrome children have an increased risk of developing acute
leukemia, as do children with some other rare chromosomal
abnormalities. Genetic factors rarely play a role in the development of
chronic leukemia.

Radiation
Leukemia occurs at higher than average rates among people exposed
to intense radiation. These include survivors of the nuclear bomb
explosions in Japan; people exposed to radiation after the Chernobyl
nuclear plant disaster in the Ukraine; and people who received large
amounts of radiation necessary for the treatment of certain medical
conditions in the past.
No well designed study has ever shown a relationship between leukemia
and power lines.

Chemicals
Workers exposed to benzene have an increased risk of developing acute
leukemia. Some types of cytotoxic drugs used in organ transplant patients
and cancer treatments also increase the risk of developing leukemia.

Viruses
These risk factors account for only a part of the cause of leukemia in an
individual patient and account for a very small number of all leukemia
cases. In most cases the cause remains unknown. Having one or more
of these factors does not mean that you will definitely develop leukemia.
If you are concerned about any of these factors you should talk to your
doctor.
  • Alkylating chemotherapy agents used in previous cancers

  • Maternal fetal transmission (rare)

  • Hair dyes

Electromagnetic energy
  • - studies indicate there is not enough evidence to show that ELF magnetic (not electric) fields that exist currently might cause leukemia.

How do I say " I LOVE U?"

sometimes i hate my pessimism
it results in hesitating
and i get caught in a circle
that circulates through my mind
i take a breath and concentrate
make sure my emotions don't instigate
a decision i might regret
or suffer for down the line

why do my words pause with hesitation
is it my overactive imagination
that constant fear of the future
and what will happen to me
i'm uncomfortable having so much emotion
and i don't know where i got that notion
why can't it be more simple
it's my only insecurity

sometimes i feel so inundated
is it really that complicated
of course it isn't
but i've created a monster in my mind
happiness is all that matters
i say nice things not just to flatter you
you know i mean it
you're someone not easy to find

so where do all these thoughts leave me
i'm not sure but in the end i'm happy
happy to be the one
to share these thoughts with you
i hope my doubts don't complicate things
nor go overboard and start to cling
but everything will be fine
because you feel the same way too
